The Meadows Mega Jobs & Training Event - 2005

 

 This event was held in the main hall at The Bridge Way Hall on Thursday the 13th January and ran from 10.00am until 5.00pm.

 

 Numerous employers were there to recruit new staff for a variety of roles, such as:-

 

·                 Office Work,

·                 Catering,

·                 Care Work,

·                 Sales Assistants,

·                 Youth Work

·                 Warehouse Work,

 

 In addition to the above local colleges were present to offer advice on New-Year training opportunities and several fun activities were scheduled.

 

 Including one in which our own ‘Climb Higher’ participants volunteered to be models for the day and were seen strutting their stuff down the catwalk showing off their new interview clothes / work wear which the Meadows Partnership Trust had provided.

 

 Other popular activities were an Employment Fortune Teller and of course plenty of food and drink for people to enjoy. Overall this event was a huge success attracting 300+ people with media attention from the Nottingham Evening Post and Radio Trent
