The community development and engagement team make contact with local residents in the Meadows area by any appropriate means and supply information about local projects, facilities and services as required, we meet and engage with local residents on appropriate occasions such as residents' meetings, community events or at established meeting points.

We encourage and support local residents, where appropriate, to become more involved with local regeneration initiatives and identify barriers to the involvement and engagement of local people in neighbourhood renewal and regeneration and identify or develop ways to reduce or remove these barriers.

Our roles are principally as a facilitator, guide and resource for advice and information.

We encourage partnership working between projects with similar goals, advise on the sources of funding for projects, assist with the submission of funding applications and monitor progress of the projects funded.

The role of the Community Development/Engagement Team is to empower residents and members of the community to identify needs within the community and assist in the development of solutions to meet the identified needs. To communicate with local residents and organisations, concerning local issues and problems.

The Community Development/Engagement Team help the Meadows community groups and organisations by facilitating:
