Yet again the Meadows is leading the way in the Bloom Awards. This year, Nottingham in Bloom encouraged local residents to get involved with the East Midlands in Bloom Neighbourhood Awards, and out of 80 entrants around the city, 15 groups came from the Meadows.

The Awards are given to residents who work together to improve their areas through voluntary effort. What residents say about these awards is that it has enabled residents to get to know each other and encourage good neighbourliness as well as making their areas look great.

At the Annual General Meeting of The Meadows Partnership Trust in September, Pride in the Meadows, in acknowledging the contribution made by these residents, presented its own awards to all the groups who help to make the Meadows a better and more beautiful place to live.

Cllr Malcolm Wood, Chair of the Nottingham in Bloom Committee, thanked the Meadows for giving other areas of Nottingham the encouragement to follow our lead and get involved.

WELL DONE EVERYBODY
